Collaboration & Opportunities

Music Instument & Vocal

Prabhanjali Institute, known for its commitment to preserving and promoting Indian classical arts, offers an extensive and holistic approach to Music Instrument and Vocal classes that caters to students of all ages and skill levels. The institute provides a rich environment where students can explore the depths of Indian classical music, both instrumental and vocal, under the guidance of expert teachers with decades of experience. The offerings include training in a variety of traditional Indian instruments, such as the Sitar, Tabla, Flute, Harmonium, and Violin, as well as vocal training in both Hindustani Classical and Light Music.

In the instrumental classes, students are introduced to the technicalities of playing these traditional instruments, focusing on mastering the basics of rhythm (taal), melody (raag), and improvisation. The curriculum is structured to ensure that students first develop a strong foundation in the technique and theory of the instrument before moving on to more complex compositions and performance skills. Each instrument has a dedicated instructor who tailors the lessons according to the student’s progress, ensuring personal attention in an environment that fosters artistic growth.

The vocal music classes at Prabhanjali Institute are equally comprehensive, where students learn the art of classical singing, focusing on both Alap (the unaccompanied, free-flowing portion of a performance) and Bandish (the structured, rhythmic sections). Students are trained in the intricate nuances of ragas and talas, along with the various techniques that define Hindustani Classical music. These include gayaki (singing technique), voice modulation, control, and expression. The classes also provide an introduction to light classical music, ghazals, and bhajans, offering a wide spectrum of musical experiences.

Prabhanjali Institute’s focus is not just on technical mastery but also on fostering a deep emotional connection with the music. Whether learning an instrument or perfecting vocal techniques, students are encouraged to explore the spiritual, cultural, and emotional essence of Indian classical music. With personalized attention, group performances, and a nurturing learning environment, the institute ensures that students develop not only technical proficiency but also the artistic soul that defines Indian classical music.
